I just finished a crazy day of rehearsing for all sorts of exciting things that are coming up really soon! Most importantly, our Junior recital is literally around the corner (the wonderful mezzo-soprano, Marissa Simmons is my partner in crime)! We had our final dress today and we perform THIS SATURDAY at 7:00PM!! Click here for all the info! Please come hear us sing if you are available! And yes, I will bribe you with cupcakes.
If you missed last week's premier of Jason Mulligan's piece, have no fear! A video recording will be available for your viewing pleasure sometime very soon! Can't wait that long? No problem! Come on over to Clarke Recital Hall on the University of Miami Frost School of Music campus at 1:25PM on Friday for a repeat performance!
But wait! There's more! I have also been rehearsing for a concert featuring the music of composer, Douglas Cuomo. I'll be singing an excerpt from the opera Arjuna's Dilema on the concert. Check out this link for more info on that.
Needless to say, it's been a pretty crazy few weeks and there will be no rest for the weary for quite some time. Still more exciting performances to come including two Frost Chorale concerts, an opera premier, and opera scenes. Keep a look out for more updates on those in the near future.
Oh, and I suppose I should mention that I will be competing in the second round of the Classical Singer Vocal Competition in Boston this May. I'll be at the convention all weekend and hopefully competing past the second round! It should be a fun weekend!
And seriously, come to our recital! <3
